Bob’s roots lie in the computer software industry. He started with V&D, Makro (SHV), Pandata (CAP Gemini) where he was ICT-Project Manager for Ballast Nedam, Unilever and Nationale Nederlanden.

 

Via a management buy-out of the Dutch subsidiary GTE/General Telephone and Electronics both Eckart Wintzen and Bob Schutte bought the company from the Americans. The pair baptized the company in BSO/Buro voor Systeem Ontwikkeling.

 

As co-founder Bob (CCO) built together with Eckart Wintzen (CEO) and Jan Ratsma (CFO) from almost scratch BSO within 12 years to a major ICT consultants provider, which is currently known as ATOS.

His responsibilities includes Board Member, Vice-President Marketing & Sales and later President of the Information Systems Division, played an instrumental role in turning BSO into one of the major software companies. He introduced an unique concept, which involved autonomous growth of business cells around core activities and creating new cells by splitting-off excess growth. This snowball effect resulted later in over 10.000 employees and including joint-ventures (Philips ICT Origin, ATOS) nowadays over 120.000 FTE’s with an annual turnover of € 12 Billion.

 

Bob experienced the pros and cons of a rapid growing organization.

He successfully managed over 25 companies in various business areas, realized joint-ventures, sold companies and has excellent intuition, vision and strong business development skills. Bob is a highly driven individual who consistently delivers results by turning challenging situations into commercial opportunities with a focus on closing deals.
